Continual efforts to enhance clients' brands and create exciting new looks for them has led Archer to realize that it was time to take a closer look at its own brand ID. Huge Branding Initiative Clarifies and Sets Parlec Apart
When Parlec Inc. began its global expansion, the tooling company was soon in need of a coordinated effort to keep the Parlec brand represented correctly throughout North America, Europe and Asia, where it currently has locations and conducts business. When Archer was approached with this need, they suggested that along with standardizing the use of the Parlec brand, the tooling company was also ready for an updated look to market both its corporate image as well as each of its six product lines. “We began by selecting a color scheme to represent each of the product lines, and then developed icons for each line along with an identity strip to be used to represent the full line. We approached the aesthetics with a more global character and a hint of European refinement,” commented Matt D'Angelo, Art Director at Archer. Once the foundations were set, Archer then developed a 20-page corporate identity manual so that anyone at each of Parlec's three global locations would be able to prepare marketing materials using the standardized specifications. A CD-ROM with logos, templates and instructions on how to represent and maintain the Parlec brand was also included. “Our new look was first used on the five catalogs we produced at the end of last year," commented Jason Grady, Marketing Manager at Parlec. "We're eagerly anticipating the rollout of the new identity system throughout the rest of 2005.” End

Parlec was established in 1948. Since then our company has developed products and services which have become well known and recognized in the industry. Occupying over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space and distribution space, our six major product lines consist of more than 8,000 individual products, most of which are manufactured at our facility in Fairport, New York, just outside of Rochester. Parlec has developed a global network of sales, engineering, manufacturing, and service throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, with more than 750 distributors throughout the world.

Archer Unveils New Brand ID for Four Corners Abstract
When Four Corners Abstract came to Archer Communications in need of a new website, the Archer team began by examining how the FCA brand was positioned in the marketplace, who the company's target audience members were, and what FCA's communication goals and objectives should be. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Four Corners Financial Corporation, the FCA brand needed to be differentiated from its holding company as well as its competitors. Archer helped FCA realize that before a new website went up, the company needed to ensure that the FCA brand was clearly identified. This led to the development of a new logo that both differentiated FCA from its holding company and updated the previous logo to give it a more contemporary look and feel. With its positioning clear and a new logo developed, Archer then went on to produce a website and sales brochure to assist FCA's marketing team and unveil the new brand identity to the company's target audiences. The new website offers clients their own customized web page — allowing users the ability to place orders instantly, search for documents and view status reports. With its brand identity clear, Four Corners Abstract is now poised to reach and exceed its organizational and communications goals. End
