Most commonly, a designer's first love is print. It's the design industry's most refined and established component – steeped in rich tradition. I adore print design and wish that my career history was filled with even more print experience. I can't get enough! Designing B2B and B2C collateral has been personally rewarding to me. I take great pride in successful ad campaigns and product line design.
I have created print-based work of all sorts: annual reports, posters, packaging, advertisements, direct mail, corporate stationery, sales materials, billboards, signage, catalogs and invitations - to name a few. I could be considered a bit of an anomaly in the fact that (as a designer) I don't dread the production process (mechanicals, printing, finishing). I actually enjoy it. Obviously, it can't beat the thrill and excitement of the preliminary creative aspects of print projects, but it's interesting nonetheless. The full project lifecycle is very intriguing to me.
